Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains when and how refunds are issued for tickets purchased through Silvertown Events at silvertown.events. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions. Individual events may set their own refund rules — where an event's stated policy differs, the event's policy applies and will be shown on the event page before you pay.
1. All sales are generally final
Because event capacity is limited and held for you at the point of purchase, tickets and registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable unless stated otherwise for a specific event or required by law. Please double-check the event date, category, and attendee details before completing payment.
2. If an event is cancelled
If an event is cancelled by the organiser, you are entitled to a refund of the ticket face value. Non-recoverable service or processing fees may be excluded from the refund. We will notify affected buyers by email with instructions; no action is usually needed on your part.
3. If an event is postponed or rescheduled
If an event is postponed or its date, time or venue changes materially, your ticket normally remains valid for the new date. If you cannot attend the new date, you may request a refund of the ticket face value within 14 days of the change being announced.
4. Add-ons and extra charges
- Add-ons (e.g. merchandise, meals, extra items) follow the same rule as the ticket they were bought with, unless the item has already been fulfilled or personalised.
- Processing / service fees and organiser registration fees are non-refundable once an order is confirmed, except where an event is cancelled and the organiser directs otherwise.
5. Duplicate or incorrect charges
If you were charged more than once for the same order, or believe you were charged in error, contact us within 7 days with your ticket reference. Verified duplicate charges are refunded in full.
6. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are made to the original payment method used for the purchase. Once processed, it may take up to 14 working days for the amount to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer. Refunds are made in Malaysian Ringgit (RM).
7. Non-refundable situations
- Failure to attend ("no-show") or arriving after entry has closed.
- Refusal of entry due to breach of the organiser's or venue's conditions.
- Change of mind after an order is confirmed, where the event has no buyer-cancellation policy.
- Tickets that have already been used (scanned in) or that were resold or shared in breach of the Terms.
8. How to request a refund
Email hello@silvertown.events from the account you purchased with, quoting your ticket reference and the reason for the request. We aim to respond within 3 working days. You can also reach us via our Contact page.
This policy does not affect any statutory rights you may have under Malaysian consumer protection law.
